Ludlow & District Beekeepers Association

For 2023, we are going to try and help beekeepers to improve beyond their basic skills.

This is being done by starting an ‘improvers group’ at the association apiary. If you have:

• done our beginners course or a similar one elsewhere or
• have kept bees for a while or
• want to try more beekeeping before you get your own bees

then this may be for you.

The group will be ‘self-managing’; it will have its own hives and be responsible for aspects of managing them. It will meet at times agreed within the group. Members of the teaching group will be available to help you plan and learn more advanced techniques.

The association will provide all the equipment and bees to get the group started..

Please note that this is NOT a means of bringing your own bees into the teaching apiary.
